Create a key

Open API in the app and click Create key. Keys start wtpa_live_ and are shown once. You can create several, rotate them, and revoke any of them at any time.
Keep keys on your server. Anyone with a key can spend your credits. If one is exposed, revoke it in the app and create a new one.

Send the key

Send it in the Authorization header on every request.

Responses

  • Requests and responses are JSON. Send Content-Type: application/json with a body.
  • Every success carries an X-Request-Id header. It is the id you use to read or delete the request later.
  • A missing, wrong or revoked key returns 401 invalid_api_key.

Retry safely

Send an Idempotency-Key header with a value of your choice. If the same request arrives twice, you are charged once and get the first answer back. The same key with different content returns 409 idempotency_key_reused.

MCP

Most AI tools sign in with your Will This Person Answer account, so no key is needed. A client that cannot sign in sends the same key as an Authorization: Bearer header. See Connect your AI tool.
