# Connect your AI tool

> Add the MCP server to your AI tool and ask it to find mobiles and tell you who to call first. Same account, same credits as the API.

```text Server URL theme={null}
https://mcp.willthispersonanswer.com
```

Streamable HTTP, stateless, tool calls sent as POST. Keep the server name `will-this-person-answer` in your config.

## Set up your tool

Every tool below signs in with your Will This Person Answer account, so there is no key to paste.

> [tab] Claude
>
> Works on the web and desktop, and in the mobile apps once connected.
>
> **1. Add a custom connector**
>
> In Claude, open **Customize → Connectors** and click **Add custom connector**.
>
> On Team or Enterprise, an Owner adds it once in Organization settings. Everyone else just clicks Connect.
>
> **2. Paste the URL**
>
> Name it **Will This Person Answer** and paste `https://mcp.willthispersonanswer.com`.
>
> **3. Sign in**
>
> Click **Connect** and sign in. Then, in a chat, open **+ → Connectors** and switch it on.

> [tab] ChatGPT
>
> **1. Add a custom MCP server**
>
> In ChatGPT on the web, open **Plugins**, click **Add** and choose **Add custom MCP server**.
>
> On workspace plans, an admin may need to allow custom MCP servers for you.
>
> **2. Paste the URL**
>
> Name it **Will This Person Answer**, paste `https://mcp.willthispersonanswer.com` as the **Server URL** and leave **Authentication** on **OAuth**.
>
> **3. Sign in**
>
> Tick **I understand and want to continue**, click **Create as a plugin** and sign in. Then start a chat and switch it on from the **+** menu.

> [tab] Claude Code
>
> **1. Add the server**
>
> In your terminal, run:
>
> ```bash theme={null}
> claude mcp add --transport http will-this-person-answer https://mcp.willthispersonanswer.com
> ```
>
> **2. Sign in**
>
> Start Claude Code, type `/mcp`, choose `will-this-person-answer` and sign in.

> [tab] Cursor
>
> **1. Add the server**
>
> Open `~/.cursor/mcp.json` and add the server under `mcpServers`:
>
> ```json theme={null}
> {
>   "mcpServers": {
>     "will-this-person-answer": {
>       "url": "https://mcp.willthispersonanswer.com"
>     }
>   }
> }
> ```
>
> **2. Sign in**
>
> Sign in when Cursor asks. Then ask the agent in chat. Cursor asks before it runs a tool, so approve the request.

> [tab] VS Code
>
> **1. Add the server**
>
> With GitHub Copilot set up, open the Command Palette and run **MCP: Add Server**, then choose **HTTP**.
>
> **2. Paste the URL and sign in**
>
> Paste `https://mcp.willthispersonanswer.com`, name it `will-this-person-answer` and sign in when the browser opens.
>
> **3. Use it in Agent mode**
>
> Open Chat, switch to **Agent mode** and ask. Check it's selected under the **Tools** button.

## Using an API key instead

A client that cannot sign in sends your API key as a header instead. See [Authentication](https://docs.willthispersonanswer.com/authentication.md).

```bash Claude Code theme={null}
claude mcp add --transport http will-this-person-answer \
  https://mcp.willthispersonanswer.com \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $WTPA_API_KEY" -s user
```

```json Cursor theme={null}
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "will-this-person-answer": {
      "url": "https://mcp.willthispersonanswer.com",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer wtpa_live_YOUR_KEY" }
    }
  }
}
```

```json VS Code theme={null}
{
  "servers": {
    "will-this-person-answer": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://mcp.willthispersonanswer.com",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer wtpa_live_YOUR_KEY" }
    }
  }
}
```

## Then ask

* "Find the mobile for linkedin.com/in/ada-lovelace and tell me if it's worth calling."
* "Check these five numbers and give me a call sheet, High priority first."
* "Show me my requests from today and delete the test ones."
